LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Soak 2 or 3 cups of chips in water. Use more chips for larger roasts and turkeys.
  2. Light your Original Charcoal Company All-Natural Hardwood Lump Charcoal.
  3. When coals are ashed over, spread appropriately on cooking grate
  4. Add one or two handfuls of the soaked chips to the coals and position your food on the cooking grate.
  5. Add more chips every 20 – 30 min as needed depending on desired level of smoky flavor.

FOR OUTDOOR GAS & ELECTRIC GRILLS & SMOKERS:

  1. Wrap soaked chips in aluminum foil, poke holes in top of foil pouch and place on ceramic or lava rocks.
  2. Turn on outdoor unit.
  3. When wood starts to smoke, arrange food on cooking grate.
  4. Add more chips as needed.
